Peace and Development please!
No more killings, no more wars!
As a young boy who loved football, he went
out to play ball with his friends one day. He came back to find his parents
killed in one of those senseless violent attacks. His parents, the two of them
were gone in a twinkle of an eye. Can you imagine how this boy felt when this
happened? It can only be imagined. I learnt that this happened in 2002.
Fortunately his uncle or so took him abroad where, to cut a long story short, he
became a professional footballer, our dear Victor Moses. When time came for him
to wear the Nigerian colours for his nation, he did, and helped Nigeria win, not
only the match but the cup. Millions of football lovers across the globe did not
know that there was an injured heart in the Nigerian team, just as there are
several injured hearts in Nigeria itself. Tell me why this boy should not be
made a symbol of peace in Nigeria. And why should we not use this symbol to stop
the unnecessary killing. Please join me in my
one-woman-no-more-killing-no-more-war
campaign. Join me in calling for "Moses for Symbol of Peace" -
